Concept Live and Learn Czech
Learn Czech
We lead lessons online, so students can join from wherever they might be. All you need is a computer and a good internet connection. The lessons are designed according to your needs and wishes- do you only need to know how to order a beer and buy a ticket for the train? Do you need Czech for some small talk in the company kitchen? Maybe you need to understand your mother-in-law? Or would you like to prepare for the permanent residency or citizenship tests?
We teach both with textbooks and without, but no matter your preference all materials are prepared for you in an online environment that you have access to even between lessons. We also ensure that homework and self-study prepared for you is interesting and enjoyable, so that you can practise what you need.
Live Czech
Do you primarily want to practise Czech and get the chance to speak? Join us on a trip! We’ll learn about the Czech Republic in Czech, discover new places and we’ll speak and hear Czech while there. Come with us to Kutná Hora and learn to speak about wine. We might visit Křivoklát castle and speak about architecture or go for a tour of Hořovice Manor prepared specially for us! Alternatively, come with us on a walk from Prague to Únětice brewery and we’ll practise “pub Czech”.
If you don’t have so much time, and can’t spare a whole day for a trip, you can join us in a conversation club. Once per month, we organise a meet-up in a cafe (a Czech cafe, so they’ve got beer too!) where students of Czech have the opportunity to practise speaking and get feedback. We bring the topics, help you with new words and grammar and you leave with a personalised list of mistakes to correct and language areas to focus on.

Who will teach you?
Katka Bařtipánová
She has been teaching Czech since 2016. For six years, she worked at a major language school, leading methodology training sessions and developing learning materials. She will prepare you for certified language exams and citizenship.
Monika Jowettová
She has been teaching since 2016 and specializes in beginners. She worked as a Senior Teacher, managing a team of tutors. Right from the first lesson, she will get you speaking and show you that Czech is both logical and beautiful.
